New Delhi [India], October 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the strengthening relationship between India and Germany, highlighting recent collaborations as proof of their deepening friendship.

While addressing the 18th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business 2024, PM Modi stated, "On one hand, we have the CEO Forum meeting taking place here, and on the other hand, our navies are conducting joint exercises. German naval ships are currently visiting Goa. Soon, we will also hold the seventh inter-governmental consultations between India and Germany."

"This means that the friendship between India and Germany is deepening at every step and on every front," he added.

PM Modi noted that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the India-Germany strategic partnership and expressed optimism that the next 25 years would elevate this partnership to new heights.

"This year marks 25 years of the India-Germany Strategic Partnership. The next 25 years will take this partnership to new heights. We have created a roadmap for a developed India over the next 25 years," PM Modi said.

He welcomed the German Cabinet's release of the "Focus on India" document, which outlines how the two strong democracies and leading economies can collaborate for global good.

"I am pleased that at such a critical juncture, the German Cabinet has released the Focus on India document. This document serves as a blueprint for how the world's two strong democracies and leading economies can work together to become a force for global good. It clearly reflects our approach and commitment to advancing the strategic partnership in a comprehensive manner. The trust that Germany has placed in India's skilled workforce is particularly noteworthy," he remarked.

PM Modi expressed confidence that Germany's decision to increase visas for skilled Indians would contribute to its economic growth.

"Germany has decided to raise the number of visas granted to skilled Indians from 20,000 to 90,000 each year. I am confident this will provide a new impetus to Germany's growth," he stated.

"Our mutual trade has surpassed 30 billion dollars. Today, we have hundreds of German companies operating in India, and Indian companies are rapidly expanding their presence in Germany. India is becoming the largest center for diversification and de-risking, as well as a hub for global trade and manufacturing. This is the ideal time for you to Make in India, Make for the World," PM Modi emphasized.
