New Delhi , July 23 2024 Today, the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest outside the Shastri Bhawan in New Delhi, demanding the implementation of RENEET. The peaceful demonstration was organized to highlight the urgent need for fair and equitable opportunities in education, specifically addressing the concerns of students affected by the delay in RENEET.
Despite the peaceful nature of the protest, NSUI workers were stopped by law enforcement, which hindered their movement towards Shastri Bhawan. Honey Bagga, the Incharge of NSUI Delhi, emphasized the frustration felt by students and the organization over what they perceive as the government's neglect of student welfare. During the protest, Bagga stated, "We demand RENEET. This government is showing an anti-student face. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign if he can't ensure justice for students."
The NSUI remains committed to advocating for students' rights and will continue to press for transparent and student-centric policies in education. We urge the government to engage constructively with student representatives to resolve this issue promptly.
