New Delhi [India], September 6: Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar has accepted the resignation of Sujit Kumar, a Rajya Sabha member from Odisha, following his expulsion from the Biju Janata Dal.
Sujit Kumar, a former member of the Biju Janata Dal, was expelled from the party with immediate effect for 'anti-party activities,' as stated in a letter signed by BJD President Naveen Patnaik.
"He has let down the party that sent him to Rajya Sabha and the hopes and aspirations of the people of Kalahandi district," the letter stated.
